Thank you for your interest in working with us. We have several independent contractors around the country that help us fulfill our clients' IP needs, and we're excited that you're interested in joining our team.
One of the benefits of working with us is that you do not need to interact with the client... we take care of that. Our clients tend to be independent inventors who often have questions or need educating about the patent process. As such, we can take that time-consuming part of the process off of your plate. Further, all of our patents are filed under our PTO Customer Number, so you do not have the responsibility (or liability) for the patent (and our jobs are covered by our E&O Policy). And perhaps most importantly, as an independent contractor, you can choose when and where you work, providing you with amazing flexibility (as long as you adher to our quailty standards and deadlines, of course). Now we don't pay as much as you might get in private practice, since our cases are relatively simple, but our work does represent supplemental income for you that you didn't have to go out and get. (In the case of trademarks, you will have to work with the clients directly since we're not a law firm.)
